East to West World Music ft. Nat King Cole
with Eitan Battat (S4 | E169)
Opening Music: MFSB (as always), the signature sound of East to West.
WERB 107.5 music to chill and vibe with.
Welcome to our listeners globally and Coast to Coast in the US. You are at the right URL WERB radio.com, at the right time. And you are on another program of East to West, and this is Eitan Battat.
Well, my dear listeners, you all waited for another week and here we are, with another program of East to West. And I’ll take you on a journey this time, from East to West and North to South, not necessarily in this order. I promise you an incredible journey around the world with music and with songs and artists that you may have heard of and others you have not.
See, some of my listeners are asking me well is there a theme for this program tonight? Frankly, I prefer not to have a theme program because it limits me the ability to broadcast to you and share all the songs I’ve collected and listen to and liked of course, over the past week. A theme will box me into the same genre, perhaps the same artist, or even the same language. My dear friend, Yuriel, has done a tremendous job in having a themed program, Canciones de la Maestra, bringing you a theme with every new program. Sometimes she has female vocalists from countries from A-Z. Sometimes it’s a male vocalist from A-Z or from various countries. Sometimes it’s the same song with cover; the original plastic covers that you used to always use. She’s so, so good.
Me, me, I’m all over the place. I like to play the new stuff, the old stuff, many different genres. And of course, all the world music with many, many languages. So, my program is exactly just that, all over the place. I’m going to remember Francois Hadid that just passed away last week and of course, play some old ones, some new ones. We have Frank Sinatra, Gypsy King, Nat King Cole, just to name a few. A song by my friend, dear friend, in Hebrew. Stay with me.
